• Check your home's circuit breaker to ensure the dishwasher breaker is in the ON position • Inspect the dishwasher door to confirm it is fully closed and the latch is engaged securely • Verify the water supply valve under your sink is fully open (turn counterclockwise) • Examine the drain hose at the back of the dishwasher for kinks, pinches, or visible damage • Follow the drain hose to ensure it is not bent or compressed where it connects to the sink drain or garbage disposal • Remove and inspect the dishwasher filter (located at the bottom of the interior) for food particles, debris, or foreign objects and clean thoroughly with warm water • Confirm you are using proper dishwasher detergent and that the detergent dispenser door opens fully during the cycle • Review the cycle settings on the control panel and ensure a normal wash cycle is selected • Check your kitchen sink to verify it is draining properly and the garbage disposal is not clogged • If equipped, locate and clean the air gap (small cylindrical device near the sink) by removing the cap and rinsing debris • Perform a hard reset by turning off the dishwasher's circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then turning it back on to clear any temporary error codes • Run a short diagnostic cycle (if your model supports it) to identify if the error recurs
