• Check your home's circuit breaker panel and verify the breaker for the dishwasher is in the ON position; flip it OFF for 60 seconds, then back ON to reset the appliance • Ensure the dishwasher door is fully closed and the latch mechanism is engaged until you hear a click • Verify the water supply shut-off valve under your sink is fully open by turning it counterclockwise • Inspect the drain hose behind the dishwasher for kinks, bends, or pinches that could restrict water flow • Check that the drain hose is properly connected to either your sink drain or garbage disposal without being pushed too far into the opening • Remove the lower spray arm and inspect the dishwasher filter basket for food debris, bones, or objects; rinse thoroughly under running water • Verify you are using only genuine dishwasher detergent designed for automatic dishwashers and not hand-washing soap • Review your dishwasher's control panel settings and cycle selection; cancel the current cycle and restart with a fresh cycle selection • Check under your sink to ensure the sink drain is not clogged by running water from your sink faucet; if draining slowly, you may have a clogged household drain line • Look for the air gap device on your sink rim (if installed) and remove the cap to check for debris or blockage inside
